About

Dr. Hari Prasad Kunhi Veedu is a board-certified neurologist, neurophysiologist, and epileptologist with extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of complex neurological disorders, particularly epilepsy. He currently serves as Medical Director of the Kern Medical Epilepsy Center in Bakersfield, California, and is a consultant neurologist and epileptologist at United Neuroscience.

Dr. Kunhi Veedu was initially trained as a neurologist in India. He then pursued an epilepsy fellowship in Portalegre, Brazil, before moving to the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, where he worked as a research fellow and clinical scholar in neurophysiology and epilepsy. He completed his neurology residency at Case Western University Hospital and subsequently served as a neurology consultant and assistant professor at Case Western Medical Center for approximately five years.

His clinical interests focus on medically refractory epilepsy, epilepsy surgery, continuous video EEG monitoring, and status epilepticus management. Dr. Kunhi Veedu is actively involved in research, with numerous abstracts and publications presented at major national and international neurology and epilepsy conferences. He is a Fellow of the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society and a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Epilepsy Society.

Dedicated to advancing epilepsy care in underserved areas, Dr. Kunhi Veedu is a patron of the Epilepsy Support Group in Bakersfield and is recognized for his commitment to patient care, education, and ongoing contributions to clinical research.
