About

Dr. Kiron Thomas is a co-founder of United Neuroscience Institute and serves as its Medical Director. He is a board-certified neurologist with subspecialty training in Vascular Neurology and Interventional Neuroradiology, with over 25 years of experience in neurology practice.

Dr. Thomas earned his medical degree from J.J.M. Medical College in India and completed an Internal Medicine internship at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He went on to complete his Neurology residency at Tufts University, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in Vascular Neurology and Interventional Neuroradiology at Lahey Clinic Medical Center.

Dr. Thomas has been a pioneer in bringing endovascular stroke treatment to Bakersfield and the Central Valley of California. He leads UNI’s academic programs, hospital partnerships, telestroke network, and quality improvement initiatives. His hospital affiliations include Kern Medical, Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, and Adventist Health Bakersfield. He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
